When I was a college junior, and raising my 2 year old daughter I was ready to quit school and be a stay at home mom. My grandfather encouraged me to finish earning my degree by saying " You really should finish your education. You may not need it now, but you may want it in 10 years or so. You just never know where'll you'll be 10 years from now." Thirty years later I am so grateful that I took his advice and finished my degree. A favorite something my Great-Grandmother, well into her 80s, decided I should know a few days before my wedding. She told me to never let the passion die in my sex life with my husband. Never let it take a back seat, be playful and silly. Keep it private between yourselves, but stay active! Love can be romantic many ways intimately. Keep that fire burning always. We always have, & if we get busy, I remember her words. I am grateful for her wise words! :) Grandma said - "you are going to be an amazing salesperson" I was 7 lookout world. Other grandma said "people don't care how much you know, til they know how much you care!!" Put both together and became a successful salesperson

My Grandma always told me to be a godly person..I grew up in a Christian environment and so I always knew what was expected of me, but there was a time I rebelled. Yet, when I got out on my own..all that godly advice along with those mistakes I made helped me be who I am today..a godly woman. I am thankful for the example my Grandmother was for me! The best advice my childs grandparent has given me is KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING!! Don't get dragged down by all the details and the stress..focus!! It keeps me coming back to my goals as a mom and how I want to accomplish things in my life and reminds me not to get distracted by all the noise of life! "Whatever you do, DON'T major in history." "Why not, grandma?" "Because there is a LOT more history NOW than there was when I was in college."

When my grandmother learned that I had gotten my first teaching job, she told me to always remember how important my job would be. "Remember that while you may only be one person to the world, you can be the world to one person. You might be the bright spot in some child's life." I never forgot it. The best advice I ever got was from my grandfather. He told me that before I started digging a garden I needed to take time to think it through. If you know what you want before you start working there's no need to go back an redo anything. The lesson applies to almost every job I undertake. The best advice my grandfather ever gave me was not to drink white zinfindel because it is "an affront to human dignity and an abomination in the eyes of God."

my child pray always, human beings can fail you, decieve you and abandon you but your trust in GOD WILL LIFT YOU UP ALWAYS. My grandmother once scolded me for leaving a big blob of toothpaste in the sink. It wasn't her anger that embedded the scene in my memory, for she wasn't exceptionally angry. It was her disgust. That toothpaste blob really grossed her out! That day I learned never to leave toothpaste in the sink. Later, the memory taught me to be mindful of the little things I do. Something insignificant to me can harm someone else. Grammy's words were the first time I really heard that life is not about me. You're not old until you stop kickin'!
